What You Can Do
📍 Live Location
See real-time position on a map, updated continuously.
🏠 Safe Zones (Geofencing)
Get notified the moment your child arrives at or leaves school, home, or anywhere else you set.
🕓 Location History
Review where a device has been over the past days, not just right now.
📶 Works Anywhere
Runs on the phone itself, so it works on mobile data — not just at home on Wi-Fi.
Why Location Tracking Matters
Most parents don't reach for location tracking out of distrust — it's about closing the gap between "my kid should be home by now" and actually knowing where they are. That matters most in a few specific situations:
- • The after-school gap. Confirm your child actually got to the bus stop, practice, or a friend's house — without a string of check-in texts.
- • New independence, first solo trips. The first few times a child walks to school alone or takes public transit, a live map is reassurance for both of you.
- • Teen drivers. Knowing a route was taken (and completed) safely matters more than knowing exactly what happened at every red light.
- • Emergencies. If a child doesn't answer their phone, a last-known location is often the fastest way to start looking in the right place.
Setting Up Safe Zones the Right Way
Safe zones are most useful when they map to your child's actual routine rather than trying to cover every possible location:
- • Start with the 2-3 places that matter most — home, school, and one regular activity — rather than trying to geofence everywhere at once.
- • Size zones realistically. A zone drawn too tightly around a school building can trigger false "left the area" alerts from the edge of a parking lot or sports field.
- • Use arrival alerts, not just departure alerts, for routine reassurance ("arrived at school") without needing to actively check the map.
- • Revisit zones as routines change — a new school year, a new activity, or a new friend's house means updating boundaries, not just adding more.
Phone-Based vs Router-Based Tracking
Router-connected devices like Circle Home Plus can only see where a device is relative to your home network — once your child leaves the house, tracking gets much more limited. Because Kidsafe360 installs on the phone itself, location tracking works the same whether your child is at school, at a friend's house, or anywhere else with signal.
